WI: Marriage between William of Jülich-Cleves-Berg and Jeanne of Navarre not annulled

In 1541, William, Duke of Jülich-Cleves-Berg and Jeanne of Naverre, had a marriage that was arranged for them by the current king of France at that time, Francis I. However, only four years into the marriage, the marriage was annulled. Jeanne of Naverre would go on to marry Anthony, Duke of Vendôme, House of Bourbon, and William would later marry Maria of Austria. So, what would happen if the marriage between the two were not annulled?

The Bourbons have a slightly harder time asserting their right to the throne, given it was through Jeanne that Henri IV derived his relative proximity to the Valois in blood.

William and Jeanne would be torn between defending their respective realms - William would have significantly less resources to fight the Hapsburgs over Guelders, and might well end up as more of a French satellite/client than as a mighty regional prince. Jeanne would have a husband frequently away fighting for Guelders and defending his own distant realms, with no men or resources to spare defending Navarre from the Spanish, who would naturally coordinate actions against Navarre with their German allies whenever war (inevitably) rolled around.
